VEEMUX DVI VIDEO SWITCH FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTES Last Update 2023/01/03 This listing provides the version number of the NTI VEEMUX 8X8 DVI VIDEO MATRIX SWITCH firmware files, the date of the release, and a summary of the changes in that release. NOTE: Performing a firmware update on units with new hardware (made after May 2019) using firmware versions earlier than 3.0 will render the VEEMUX unbootable. If this happens, contact NTI for support. 3.2 2023/01/03 Feature Add: Option added to select start up configuration to use. Bug Fix: Configuration loaded on start up does not match what is shown on the web. 3.1 2022/09/15 Feature Change: DDC configuration is now saved for each video layout memory slot. Previously the DDC option was the same across all memory slots. Bug Fix: Fixed possible reboot freeze issue. Sometimes the unit would not reboot properly after a power cycle. 3.0 2019/05/16 Warning: There are no feature changes with this firmware version. This firmware has been modified to support a change in hardware. Earlier firmware cannot be used with the new hardware, however firmware version 3.0 can be used with earlier hardware. Therefore, earlier versions of firmware will no longer be available for download. If earlier versions are needed, please contact NTI for support. Warning: DO NOT downgrade units made after May 2019 with any version earlier than 3.0 or units will not boot. 2.2 2018/02/15 Function Change: Firmware update to work with special hardware modification that fixes/prevents possible "no boot" issue. Firmware only has effect on units that have the hardware modification. No improvements or effects will be seen by the user. Note: This change affects units made after January 2018. There will be no change if applied to units made prior to February 2018. Warning: DO NOT downgrade units made after January 2018 with any version earlier than 2.2 or units will not boot properly. 2.1 2016/08/03 Improved Performance: Video output quality is improved when using long output cables. 2.0 2016/06/28 Feature Add: Added support for user-selectable option for hot plug detect and hot plug toggle. Feature Add: Added support for user-selectable resolution for Default 1. 1.9 2014/11/07 Feature Add: Confirmation text box added when using Save button in the main video and audio switch screen. 1.8 2014/08/13 Feature Bug Fix: Uses more robust method for saving of configuration data. In some cases during power failures if the unit is writing to configuration data the config file may get corrupted. This release verifies the integrity of the configuration file and maintains a backup copy of the configuration file to address this corruption. 1.7 2013/07/19 Feature Add: Ethernet connection enable/disable control from front panel and WEB. Feature Add: Support for mixing DDC from up to 8 displays for each input. 1.6 2013/02/08 Feature Add: Added support for multiple users with limited switch control Bug Fix: Fixed problem with switch locking up when using telnet interface 1.5 2011/11/17 Bug Fix: Fixed very rare problem with corruption of file system while loading USB Console and IR Remote drivers during switch power-up. 1.4 2011/07/18 Changed protocol on TCP port 2005 to Raw TCP communication 1.3 2011/03/24 Entering extended ASCII characters, those with a decimal code above 127 (such as those with an umlaut), into a Port Name field caused undesirable effects, such as inability to access the Video Switch web page. This has been corrected. Extended ASCII characters are now supported. Entering more than 15 into a Port Name field caused undesirable effects, such as lock-up. This has been corrected. Port Name field length is truncated at 15 characters. Entering a web server timeout value greater than 35790 caused undesirable effects, such as instantly logging the user out and preventing subsequent login. This has been corrected. The Web Server Timeout field value is limited to 32000. When using Internet Explorer 8 some sections of web pages would not expand when clicked unless compatibility mode was switched ON. This has been corrected.
