NTI Now Offering Video Splitters over Fiber

Aurora, OH: Network Technologies Inc (NTI) today announced the addition of Video Splitters over Fiber to its product line. The VOPEX® HDMI and DVI video splitters drive up to four remote displays from one video source.

The HDMI Splitter/Extender via Singlemode Fiber Optic Cable simultaneously distributes high resolution HDMI video to up to four displays up to 12.4 miles (20 km) from an HDMI video source using a single-strand SC 9-micron singlemode fiber optic cable. The VOPEX system consists of the FIBER-1X4-SSSC optical splitter, which connects to the transmitter and receivers; the ST-FOHD-SC-L-ULC transmitter, which connects to the host HDMI video source; and a ST-FOHD-SC-R-ULC receiver for each remote HDMI display.

The HDMI Splitter over Fiber supports HDTV resolutions to 1080p. HDMI features supported include: Deep Color; Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital, and DTS; and bandwidth up to 10.2 Gbps. It is HDCP compliant and features a built-in default EDID table.

The DVI Splitter/Extender via Multimode Fiber Optic Cable simultaneously distributes high resolution DVI video to up to four displays up to 3,280 feet (1,000 meters) from a DVI video source using a single-strand SC 50-micron multimode fiber optic cable. The VOPEX system consists of the FIBER-1X4-SMSC optical splitter, which connects to the transmitter and receivers; the ST-1FODVI-L-SC transmitter, which connects to the host DVI video source; and a ST-1FODVI-R-SC receiver for each remote DVI display.

The DVI Splitter over Fiber supports crisp and clear resolutions to 1920x1200. It complies with DVI 1.0 standard and features EDID learning for the support of any DVI display device.

Available for immediate sale, the FIBER-1X4-SSSC optical splitter costs $240, and the compatible ST-FOHD-SC-L/R-ULC transmitters/receivers cost $165 each. The FIBER-1X4-SMSC optical splitter costs $525, and the compatible ST-1FODVI-L/R-SC transmitters/receivers cost $420 each.
