NTI Introduces HDTV Splitter/Extender via CAT5
AURORA, OH: Network Technologies Inc announced the addition of the VOPEX® HDTV Audio/Video Splitter/Extenders via CAT5 to its popular line of video splitters. They are ideal for systems where high resolution YPbPr component video signals along with analog or digital audio signals must be transmitted long distances to multiple displays and speakers.
The VOPEX system has two components: the local broadcast unit, which connects to the YPbPr component video device and also supplies audio/video to a local display and speakers, and a remote unit for each remote display and speakers. The units are interconnected by CAT5/5e/6 cable up to 600 feet.
Two models are available: VOPEX-C5HDA-x, which supports YPbPr component video and S/PDIF digital audio; and VOPEX-C5HDTV-x, which supports YPbPr component video and analog stereo audio. Both models support 480i (interlaced), 480p (progressive), 720i, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p formats.
The HDTV Audio/Video Splitter/Extenders via CAT5 are ideal for movie theater lobbies, point of purchase displays, conference centers, airports, and other applications that require multiple displays. You can easily transmit high-definition component video signals to projectors in the ceiling by using compact CAT5 instead of bulky cable bundles.
The switch is immediately available in 8, 16, 24 and 32 port models, priced from $740 to $1,545.
Both models are available in 4-, 8- and 16-port models. The VOPEX-C5HDA-x HDTV Splitter/Extender via CAT5 with Digital Audio (local unit) is priced from $330 to $810, and the ST-C5HDA-R-600 remote unit costs $180. The VOPEX-C5HDTV-x HDTV Splitter/Extender via CAT5 with Stereo Audio (local unit) is priced from $335 to $810, and the ST-C5HDTV-R-600 remote unit costs $185.
