AURORA, OH: Network Technologies Inc announced the addition of stereo audio support to its popular line of video matrix switches. The VEEMUXTM Audio/Video Matrix switch is used to switch audio and video from many computers to multiple monitors, projectors and speakers.
Video matrix switches are designed to simplify the task of routing video input from multiple computers to multiple displays (projectors, monitors, plasma screens). Since each input can be routed to one or more outputs, it creates a “matrix” pattern of interconnection possibilities. The new switch performs the same function, plus it provides audio switching. Up to 32 computers and 16 display devices and sets of speakers can be connected to the switch.
NTI’s VEEMUX switches are designed to switch VGA directly, eliminating the need for external interfaces and coax cable connections via BNC connectors. A single computer video output can be routed to one or more monitors. Each image will appear as crisp and clear as if directly attached to the original source. Each video output is buffered from each input, insuring that signal integrity is maintained throughout the system. When switching ports, the audio automatically mutes upon switching until the video has been synchronized, and can be muted on command.
This easy-to-use switch is the ideal solution for any application where information from multiple computers is being presented, such as classrooms, boardrooms, trade shows, conference and entertainment facilities, courtrooms, control rooms and command centers. Multiple PCs or laptops can be plugged into the VEEMUX switch. Each computer’s audio and video output can then then be easily routed to one or more monitors and/or audio speakers. Easy drag-and-drop Matrix Control Software is built in to all of NTI’s Video Matrix Switches. It provides intuitive and powerful control using an RS232 connection, and is compatible with Microsoft Windows® 9X, NT4, 2K and ME. Users can recall frequently used matrix switch configurations with the click of a button. Push buttons on the front of the unit provide a second control option, and optional Infrared Control is available.
Immediately available, the VEEMUX A/V Matrix Switches range in price from $1,460 -$17,940. Video only models are also available, in both rackmount and desktop models. 1900x1200 video resolution is supported. Bandwidth specification is 200 MHz (a “worst case” when one input is connected to all of the outputs). Audio input and output connectors are 3.5mm jack connectors.
