Aurora, OH: Network Technologies Inc (NTI) announces the addition of the HDMI Extender via One SC Multimode Fiber Optic Cable to its popular line of video extenders.
The XTENDEX HDMI Extender via Fiber Optic Cable locates an HDMI display up to 3,280 feet (1,000 meters) away from a video source using a single SC multimode fiber optic strand. Each extender consists of a transmitter that connects to a video source and a receiver that connects to a display. The signals are transmitted over a single-strand multimode SC fiber optic cable with no RF interference.
The ST-FOHD-SC50 HDMI Extender via Fiber Optic Cable supports HDTV resolutions to 1080p and computer resolutions to 1920x1200. The supported HDMI features include: 12-bit Deep Color; Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital, and DTS; bandwidth up to 7.8 Gbps; CEC (consumer electronic control) compatible devices. The extender is HDCP compliant and supports the DDC2B protocol.
The fiber optic HDMI extender requires no software to be installed. The fiber optic cables can be installed in conduit prior to extender installation. Its compact and durable design allows for easy connection and placement.
